COSTA RICA: Moving on proposed mega-prison
On 26 August Costa Rica’s congressional finance committee approved changes to the 2025 state budget, authorising ₡7.87bn (US$15.62m) in funds to construct a proposed jail known as the ‘Centro de Alta Contención del Crimen Organizado (Cacco)’.
