COLOMBIA: Guerrilla attacks leave 18 dead and dozens wounded
On 21 August Colombia suffered two of its worst attacks by insurgent groups in recent years, with at least 18 people killed and dozens wounded after a police helicopter was shot down in Antioquia department and bombs were detonated outside a military academy in the southwestern city of Cali.
