BRAZIL: Top court confirms Bolsonaro coup plot trial date
On 15 August the ‘Primeira Turma’ (First Chamber) of Brazil’s supreme court (STF) confirmed that it will start trial sessions on 2 September to judge the charges brought against the alleged masterminds of a coup plot to overturn the 2022 election defeat of former president Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2023).
