In brief: International tourism up in Mexico

*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has announced that the country received 4.07m international tourists in June, marking a 10.0% annual increase. Tourist numbers were also up 8.5% from May 2025. Overall visitor numbers, comprising international tourists and day-trippers, were up 11.5% year-on-year at 8.02m. Visitor numbers were also up 1.0% from 7.94m in May. Revenue from international tourism rose by 5.6% year-on-year to US$2.50bn, a rise of 6.38% compared to May.
