In brief: Argentina’s industrial production, construction up year-on-year in June
*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released new figures showing that industrial production increased by 9.3% year-on-year in June, while construction was up by 13.9%. In monthly terms, industrial production fell by 1.2% as compared to the previous month while construction was up 0.9%. The steepest annual increases in industrial production in June were in the categories of other equipment, devices, and instruments (+42.7%), furniture and other manufacturing industries (+38.2%), and cars and other transport equipment (+28.2%). For construction, the greatest yearly price rises were in mosaics and limestone (+62.9%), asphalt (+51.5%), and bathroom ceramics (+47.9%).
