Luis Caputo, who stated that the US$217m will be invested by Galan Lithium to extract minerals from the Salar del Hombre Muerto, in the north-western province of Catamarca. Caputo said that over US$180m of lithium is expected to be exported from 2029. In the same social media post, Caputo said that the Rigi committee rejected a lithium project proposed by Chinese mining firm Ganfeng.
