MEXICO: National guard reform approved
Mexico’s lower chamber of congress approved a new bill regulating the national guard (GN) on 24 June. The bill consolidates the role of the military in the GN, which was originally conceived as a civilian force, stipulating that it comprise personnel from the army and air force, as well as civilian personnel.
