BOLIVIA: Fresh allegations about 2024 uprising
The brief military uprising that occurred in Bolivia on 26 June 2024 has been described by President Luis Arce’s government as an attempted coup d’état, and by the government’s critics as an extravagant piece of political theatre [SSR-24-08]. On 10 April the interior ministry released an 84-minute “documentary” which made new allegations regarding the uprising and named several economists and trade union leaders as alleged conspirators in a plot to overthrow Arce.
