BRAZIL: Major conservative parties to unite in federation
On 29 April two of Brazil’s most influential right-of-centre parties, União Brasil (União) and Progressistas (PP), announced they will form a federation, akin to a temporary merger of the parties, allowing them to function as one entity in congress and pool resources for elections.
