This March edition of the Latin American Regional Report: Brazil & Southern Cone begins by looking at the efforts of the government of Argentina to tackle transnational crime around the country’s northern borders. It remains uncertain whether these efforts to strengthen Argentina’s borders can go beyond nationalistic posturing and result in proper cooperation with authorities in neighbouring countries to address the criminal groups that operate across jurisdictions.
