*Paraguay’s national statistics institute (INE) has released new data showing that the unemployment rate decreased to 4.6% in the fourth quarter of 2024, down from 5.2% in the same period of 2023 and 5.3% in the third quarter of 2024. The total number of unemployed people reached approximately 142,880, representing a drop of 19,395 individuals compared to the previous year. The underemployment rate increased to 3.4%, up from 3.2% in Q4 2023 and 3.1% in the previous quarter.
