MEXICO: Tabasco governor appoints new security head

On 15 February Javier May, the governor of Mexico’s southeastern state of Tabasco, appointed Serafín Tadeo Lazcano as his new public security minster, pledging to “recover peace” in a state that has seen a surge in violence in the past year.
