*The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) has published its latest monthly oil market report, in which Venezuela claimed to have produced 1.03m barrels of oil per day (bpd) in January, up from 998,000 bpd in December 2024. Opec’s own estimate, based on secondary sources, put Venezuelan oil production in January at 892,000 bpd, down from 910,000 bpd the previous month.
