A bumper year for elections, 2025 will see voters go to the polls in no fewer than six Caribbean nations, while Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, and Honduras will also be staging presidential and legislative elections. With the notable exception of Ecuador, which will hold elections on 9 February, the majority of the electoral contests are likely to be held towards the back end of the year (although snap elections are possible in several of the Caribbean contests). This makes predicting the outcome of the elections challenging, not least because uncertainty still surrounds some candidates and prospective alliances.
