*Colombia’s ministry of foreign trade and tourism has announced that the country received a record 6.67m international tourists in 2024. This was up by 8.5% on 2023, itself a record year, and exceeded the government’s prediction of 6m tourists. The number of visitors arriving by cruise ship declined by 11.0%, totalling 307,261. The US accounted for the greatest number of tourists, at 1.19m, followed by Mexico (365,500) and Ecuador (348,500).
