In brief: Monthly inflation slows in Bolivia

*Bolivia’s national statistics institute (INE) has announced that monthly inflation in December was 1.06%, down from 1.45% in November. This brings accumulated inflation for the whole of 2024 to 9.97%, up significantly from 2.12% in 2023, according to central bank figures. The steepest monthly price rises were for shoes and clothing (+1.58%), food and non-alcoholic drinks (+1.55%), alcohol and tobacco (+1.50%), and transport (+1.39%).
