On 4 December Colombia’s finance minister, Ricardo Bonilla, resigned after reportedly testifying to prosecutors about alleged corruption by President Gustavo Petro’s adopted son, Nicolás Alcocer Petro, and the president of state oil company Ecopetrol, Ricardo Roa.
