BRAZIL | Current account deficit down in monthly terms. Brazil posted a current account deficit of US$5.9bn in October, the central bank (BCB) said in its latest figures for the country’s balance of payments, released on 25 November. This latest monthly deficit contrasts with the surplus of US$451m in October 2023, but it is lower than the deficits of US$6.5bn in September and US$6.6bn in August this year.
