In brief: Costa Rica’s exports up

*Costa Rica’s foreign trade minister, Manuel Tovar, has hailed a rise in the country’s exports in the first ten months of 2024, saying that these reached US$16.51bn, up 8% on the same period in 2023. He cited official figures showing that medical devices remain the country’s top export, accounting for 43% of sales.
