In brief: Peru’s GDP up in Q3

*Peru’s national statistics institute (Inei) has registered GDP growth of 3.8% in the third quarter of 2024, compared with the same period last year. In quarterly terms, GDP was up by 0.7%. Inei stated that the yearly rise was based on increased internal demand (+3.4%), gross fixed investment (+6.6%), and total consumption (+3.6%). Exports of goods and services were up by 10.4% year-on-year, while imports were up by 8.0%.
