MEXICO | Headline inflation up while core rate slows. On 7 November Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) released the consumer price index for October, showing monthly inflation of 0.55%, up from 0.05% in September. Annual inflation in October stood at 4.76%, up from 4.58% in September. The core inflation rate, which excludes volatile items, was 0.28% in monthly terms, remaining the same as in September. In annual terms, the core rate was 3.80%, down from 3.91% in September.
