AMLO insists there was and is a sharp distinction between Morena governments and what went before them. As mentioned Morena’s governments offered a “4^th transformation” of the country. In contrast the conservative, neo liberal predecessors (at least in his rhetoric), offered no more than corruption and austerity. The reality however is that there has been a significant element of continuity between pre- and post- AMLO rule, at least as far as integration with the US economy is concerned.
