HAITI: Blinken seeks to strengthen security mission
On 6 September US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated the US was “committed to Haiti” following a rare visit to the country on 5 September, in which he announced an increase in humanitarian aid and called for a new security mission mandate and preparation to hold national elections in 2025.
