ARGENTINA: Opposition challenges Milei over pensions
On 22 August opposition senators voted by a two-thirds majority to adopt a new inflation-adjusted formula for calculating pensions, which President Javier Milei promptly announced he would veto on the grounds that it would jeopardise his government’s zero fiscal deficit commitment.
