PANAMA: Darién Gap deportation flights begin
A group of 29 Colombians who had illegally crossed the Darién Gap from Colombia to Panama were put on a plane back to the Colombian city of Medellín on 20 August, in the first of a series of deportation flights agreed by Panama’s new president, José Raúl Mulino, and US President Joe Biden.
