*Mexico’s national social security institute (IMSS) has released a new report showing it had registered 22.33m jobs as of 31 July – an increase of 12,344 as compared to the end of June. With this figure, the IMSS has registered an increase of 446,649 jobs in the past 12 months, equating to a yearly increase of 2%. The economic sectors with the highest annual percentage growth in jobs were transportation and communications with 5.6%, commerce with 3.2%, and construction with 3.0%.
