BRAZIL | Mid-month inflation decelerates. On 25 July the national statistics institute (Ibge) released the mid-month consumer price index (IPCA-15) for July, showing an inflation rate of 0.30%, down from the mid-month inflation of 0.39% in June. The latest figure contrasts with the mid-month deflation of 0.7% registered in July last year. The accumulated IPCA-15 inflation rate for the 12 months until July 2024 came to 4.45%.
