*The president of Bolivia’s state hydrocarbon company, Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), Armin Dorgathen, has said that the company plans to invest US$400m expanding the recently discovered Mayaya gas field in La Paz department, which President Luis Arce has said is believed to be the country’s third largest natural gas deposit. Dorgathen said that YPFB is planning to drill two new wells within the current site and a third exploratory well nearby.
