MEXICO: Moreno’s grip over PRI faces legal challenge
On 18 July a member of Mexico’s electoral tribunal (TEPJF) said that he would send objections to changes in the party statutes of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) to the national electoral institute (INE) for assessment, while accepting a legal challenge to the tight control over the historic centrist opposition party exercised by its president, Alejandro ‘Alito’ Moreno.
