MEXICO: Morena fights accusations of electoral misconduct

Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador might have shown some bias in his daily pre-election press conferences during the campaign leading up to last month’s general elections, but nothing that would have unduly influenced the results. That, in a nutshell, was the defence presented to the electoral court (TEPJF) by the ruling left-wing Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (Morena) on 16 July in response to an opposition legal challenge to the results.
