*Chile’s national statistics institute (INE) has released the latest figures for the consumer price index (IPC), showing that monthly inflation in June was -0.1%, bringing the annual rate to 4.2%. The monthly rate is down from 0.3% in May when the annual rate stood at 4.1%. Of the 13 categories measured in the IPC, six registered monthly decreases in June, with the most significant being clothing & footwear (-6.1%). The category which saw the steepest monthly increase was food & non-alcoholic drinks (+1.3%).
