PANAMA: Mulino meets DHS head Mayorkas
On 30 June Panama’s President-elect José Raúl Mulino met US Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas in Panama City where the two discussed the need for “close cooperation” to tackle the humanitarian crisis in the Darién Gap, the perilous jungle border with Colombia, a key corridor for migrants seeking to reach the US.
