MEXICO | International tourism up. On 10 June, Mexico’s tourism ministry (Sectur) reported that international visitors brought in US$12.51bn in the first four months of 2024, reflecting an 8.2% increase from the same period in 2023 and a 36.8% rise from levels seen prior to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in 2019. The period saw 14.7m international tourists visit Mexico, a 6.4% increase from the same period in 2023 and 0.2% more than in the first four months of 2019.
