In brief: Paraguay raises minimum wage

*Paraguay’s President Santiago Peña has signed a decree to increase the minimum wage by 4.4%, in accordance with a recommendation from Paraguay’s national minimum wage council (Conasam). According to the decree, the wage increase will come into effect from 1 July 2024, when the minimum wage will equal G$2.80m (US$372) a month, with the daily minimum wage set at G$107,627 (US$14.31).
