*Brazil’s central bank (BCB) has released the latest figures on economic activity, which increased by 0.01% in April in seasonally adjusted monthly terms. In year-on-year terms, economic activity was up by 4.01%. For the rolling quarter ending in April, economic activity was up by 0.76% compared with the preceding rolling quarter, and was up by 1.63% compared with the same period in 2023.
