*The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced that Venezuela has formally accepted its Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), which aims to facilitate more rapid movement of goods across borders – for example, by prioritising perishable goods and aiming to harmonise customs procedures and standards. The WTO estimates that full implementation of the TFA can reduce trade costs by an average 14.3%, with greater benefits for less developed countries.
