*Paraguay’s central bank (BCP) has released new figures showing that monthly inflation in May was 0.4%, down from 0.8% in April. However, annual inflation in May was 4.4%, up from 4.0% the previous month. Monthly inflation was driven by rising food costs, with the BCP highlighting a 9.5% increase in the price of fresh vegetables and a 2.6% increase in the price of cheese.
