The ESG wave is heading to Latin America

Placing uncertainty over the US elections to one side for the moment, at a global level ESG regulations, measurements, and pressure for operational implementation have all been growing rapidly, with a significant impact on companies operating in Latin America. In addition to this global wave, individual countries, including those with the biggest regional economies, such as Brazil and Mexico, are also creating their own more localised regulatory frameworks. In a possibly worrisome scenario for companies, compliance with the new overlapping and evolving rules could prove to be hard to avoid, time-consuming, and potentially costly.
