*The Dominican Republic’s central bank (BCRD) has released new figures which show that remittance inflows in the first four months of 2024 totalled US$3.50bn, up 6.2% on the same period in 2023. The same figures show that in April alone, remittances totalled US$859.6m, up 6.0% on the same month in 2023, with the US accounting for 87.8% of remittances that month.
