*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released data on construction activity and industrial production in March which showed significant yearly drops in both construction (-42.2%) and industrial production (-21.2%). In monthly terms, construction was down 14.2% on the previous month while industrial production was down 6.3%.  In the construction sector, all 13 categories registered annual declines with the biggest yearly drops in asphalt (-69.2%), round iron & steel bars (-54.3%), and plasterboard (-53.8%). All nine categories in the industrial manufacturing production index also saw yearly decreases. The largest drops were registered in other equipment, devices, & instruments (-42.8%), furniture & other manufacturing industries (-40.4%), and non-metallic minerals and basic metals (-34.8%).
