PERU: Prosecutors close in on suspended attorney general

The net appears to be drawing in on Peru’s suspended attorney general, Patricia Benavides, who was removed from her post in December after being accused of leading a corruption ring [WR-23-48]. Following raids at multiple addresses in Lima, prosecutors declared on 23 April that they had filed an application for Benavides to be banned from leaving the country and suggested they have enough evidence to bring her to trial.
