*Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro has announced that Jorge Márquez will take over as electricity minister, replacing Néstor Reverol. In a social media post announcing Reverol’s replacement, Maduro alluded to regular power blackouts which his government has claimed, without providing evidence, are due to sabotage by right-wing groups working in coordination with the US government. Maduro said that Márquez will lead “actions against the electricity war”.
