Mexico’s supreme court (SCJN) announced on 17 April that it will investigate Arturo Zaldívar, the former chief justice of the SCJN, for “administrative failings”. Zaldívar vehemently denies the allegations, contained within a wide-ranging investigation announced on 12 April by Notitia Criminis, a website covering the Mexican judiciary. López Obrador, a close ally of Zaldívar’s, concurred and his ruling left-wing Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (Morena) is taking steps to try and impeach Piña.End of preview - This article contains approximately 1292 words.
