*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released figures on construction and industrial manufacturing production in February, which showed significant yearly drops in both construction (-24.6%) and industrial production (-9.9%). In monthly terms, construction was down 2.6%, while industrial production dropped by 0.7%. In the construction sector, the biggest yearly drops were in asphalt (-64.9%), round iron & steel bars (-45.9%), and manufactured concrete (-34.8%). Only one of the 13 categories registered a yearly rise –   paint (+2.0%). All nine categories in the industrial manufacturing production index saw yearly decreases. The largest drops were registered in other equipment, devices, & instruments (-32.6%), furniture & other manufacturing industries (-29.5%), and metal products, machinery, & equipment (-23.0%).
