In brief: Experts revise down Mexico growth forecast

*Economic analysts surveyed by Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) have revised their 2024 GDP growth forecast for Mexico in their latest monthly survey, slightly lowering their annual growth projection to 2.36%, down from 2.39% in the previous monthly survey. The analysts also revised down their growth forecast for 2025 from 1.94% to 1.92%. The same survey showed a slight drop in inflation projections for this year, with analysts predicting that inflation would close the year at 4.10%, down from 4.14% in its previous forecast. However, the forecast for core inflation has been increased to 4.19% in 2024, up from 4.08%.
