The first deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Gita Gopinath, paid a two-day visit to Argentina last week to hold talks with President Javier Milei and his economic team, the umbrella trade union movement Confederación General del Trabajo (CGT), private sector firms, academics, and civil society organisations.
