*Colombia’s state oil company, Ecopetrol, has announced the discovery of two new natural gas deposits following its drilling of the Orca Norte-1 well, which was completed in January. The well, which lies off the coast of Colombia’s north-eastern La Guajira department, is the first deep water well to be operated exclusively by Ecopetrol. The company said that it is now assessing the commercial viability of the new discoveries.
