*Chile’s national competition authority (FNE) has authorised the sale of oil and lubricant distributor Esmax Distribución to Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil company Aramco. Esmax, which distributes fuel from Brazil’s state-run oil company Petrobras in Chile, was bought by Aramco in September. In a statement, the FNE concluded that “the transaction is not likely to substantially reduce competition in the markets analysed”.
