In brief: Peru unveils new public-private investment projects

*Peru’s investment promotion agency (Proinversión) has announced details of public-private investment projects worth some US$4.2bn which are being sought by the transport and communications ministry. These include 21 road maintenance projects, 19 of which are expected to cost US$2.5bn, and two of which require more extensive repairs and will cost US$1.1bn. Proinversión is also seeking investments totalling US$550m for projects at eight airports, in the cities of Jaén (Cajamarca region), Jauja (Junín), Huánuco (Huánuco), Rioja (San Martín), Yurimaguas (Loreto), Ilo (Moquegua), Chimbote (Áncash), and Chinchero (Cusco).
