POLITICS: Overhauling the electoral authorities

All seven members of Bolivia’s national electoral court (TSE) quit their posts in May. The move followed recent evidence of links between TSE justices and President Evo Morales’ ruling Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) [RA-15-05], amid some dubious decisions by the TSE relating to the 29 March gubernatorial and departmental elections.
